Two ways to settle, with a full breakdown
Choose “Fewest transfers” to keep payments to a minimum, or “Pay back who paid for you” so everyone repays the people who actually covered them. Every settlement comes with a breakdown, and you can record payments and share payment details.
Invite friends with a link
Share an invite link or QR code and friends join the group. Add someone who hasn't joined yet as a temporary member, and they can claim their name later with their history intact.

Log expenses offline, and BarnFen syncs when you’re back online. Each group can use one of 30+ currencies, and whole-unit currencies like TWD and JPY are split without decimals.

- Do I need an account?
- No. You can start as a guest. To keep your data across devices or after reinstalling, link a Google or GitHub account later in Settings.
- Can I use different currencies?
- Each group uses one currency, chosen from 30+ options such as TWD, JPY, USD, and THB. Create a separate group for a trip that needs a different currency.
- How does settling work?
- Select “Calculate settlement” and BarnFen works out everyone’s balance from the current period’s expenses and payments, then lists who pays whom using the settlement method you picked. Mark a transfer as paid, and it’s settled once the person being paid confirms it.
